The flat is back!! The Lincoln Handicap kicks off the first day of the flat season. Bravery won this last year but he has been pulled out of this year’s renewal at a late stage. Last years winning team pair up again with Lord Glitters, the top weight. He has been a model of consistency on all of his starts. He was second last time out in November in a Listed race on good to soft. He is a distance winner and stands a chance. FIRE BRIGADE is most likely to go off favorite for this race. He has had a surge of market support after it was announced that he would have Ryan Moore on board. Micheal Bell’s gelding won last time out at Leicester over a mile and has big claims in this. Addeybb beat him at Newmarket over nine furlongs. He has to carry 1lbs more than Ryan Moore’s mount. Big Country has a pipe opener on the all weather at Wolverhampton two weeks ago after a long absence of a few months. He was well beaten last season in races won by Dark Red and Dolphin Vista. Dark Red is liked by connections and finished forth on his only start so far in 2018. Lord Glitters beat him and Gabrial in the Balmoral at Ascot in 2017. Gabrial is a model of consistency and runs well in all the big handicaps but is getting old now. Grey Britain ran in Meydan just two weeks ago and comes here off form. He won a Listed race at Newmarket in May but hasn’t fired since. He is only four and has room for improvement. Leader Writer couldn’t get his head in front in France and it took him three tries to do so in the UK. Ballard Down won last time out and could be the value at roughly 12/1.
