After four winners yesterday including 14/1 shot Quamino in the last, we roll onto day two of the Dublin Racing Festival.
Race one off at 12:40
Sassy Diva comes into this race after two seconds and a victory this season. On her last appearance she was second to the highly regarded Honeysuckle who was receiving weight of Sassy Diva. If she runs to that level she will have a good chance.
Race two off at 1:15
Sir Erec won here at Leopardstown on hurdling debut beating Tiger Tap Tap. I think the two will improve for thier first starts over hurdles. I think Sir Erec will be the better horse and get his head infront.
Race three off at 1:50
Vision D’honneur won easily on the second time of asking over hurdles at Punchestown in mid January. This is a big step up in class but I think he is up to it. I think Triplicate is overpriced, making the running the last day didn’t suit him and I think dropping in will see him to better effect here.
Race four off at 2:25
Flawless Escape was not fluent on chase debut in December. The return to hurdle will suit. He was third in this race last season to Total Recall. A return to that form would see him get involved at a double figure price.
Race five off at 3:00
Delta Work is my idea of the winner. He is unbeaten over fences. He won the grade one over three mile at Leopardstown over Christmas. The form of the Drinmore is working out very well with the second, Le Richebourg winning the Irish Arkle on day one of this meeting. If he reproduces that form he will be hard to beat.
Race six off at 3:35
Road To Respect was very unlucky at Christmas. He ran a great race to finish as close as he did considering the how unlucky he was in running. A clear run will see him go very close.
Race seven off at 4:10
Vieux Morvan ran a cracking race in the Paddy Power at Christmas when finishing second. He will need to run up to that level again and if he does he can go close.
