Seven selections for Dundalk

By Luke

Racing at Dundalk gets underway at 5:00. I like Danz Gift. Last time out he missed the break when he reared up. He ran great to finish second considering the ground he lost at the start. If he gets the strong pace he needs, he is sure to run a big race.

Race two off at 5:30

Cerberus ran at Dundalk on the first of this month. That was his racecourse debut. He finished third when he was caught on the line. I think he will come on from the run and get his head infront on the second time of asking.

Race three off at 6:00

Ishebayorgrey has been dropping down the handicap after a few bad runs. He doesn’t come into this race in great form but not many do come into this contest in good form. I think he can go close off a mark of 63.

Race four off at 6:30

Voyageofdiscovery has been running solid races at Dundalk. He has run four times at Dundalk since November. He has been placed in three of those four races. One of those was a victory back in November and I think he can continue his consistency at Dundalk and run a good race. I also think Lady Rosebud could run a good race. She won a race off a mark of 60 back in March at Dundalk. She is now running off a mark of 52. If she can return to that form she would be in the mix.

Race five off at 7:00

View The Bay has only run seven times. He has been in the placings for all but one run when he finished fourth. He won last time out beating Plough Boy who opposes again. I think he is still improving. Six furlongs will be ideal and he can prove to be better than a mark of 75.

Race six off at 7:30

Chess Grand Master has run twice at Dundalk and won twice. His latest win was last week when he won impressively. He won his maiden over course and distance back in January. I think there is more improvement to come from this son of Galileo.

Race seven off at 8:00

Hazel Bay looks very hard to oppose. She has only run once. That run was back in April when finishing second in a Listed race at Navan. If she runs up to form she should be winning this.
