Preview of racing at Naas

By Luke (@lukekeena1)

Naas hosts a eight race card on Saturday including two Group threes. The first of those Group threes is off at 4:00. I like Smash Williams for Jim Bolger with Kevin Manning in the saddle. He has the advantage of a recent run, he finished third in a Listed race at Navan over six furlongs. The step back up to seven furlongs will suit and I think he will go close at 8/1.

The second Group three is off at 4:35 and sees the return of Magical who finished last season off with a second behind Enable at Churchill Downs in November. She is the best horse in the race and if she is fit she will win. (11/10)

Race three off at 2:50

Captainofthebounty made his reappearance in late March when he finished seventh and probably needed the run. He is a consistent horse who was only out of the first three once as a two year old. I’d expect him to come on for the run and go close with Ryan Moore in the saddle. (7/2)

Race four off at 3:25

Mokhalad ran a Cracking race on his reappearance to finish second at Navan. That was over five furlongs he steps up six furlongs which will suit. He has previously won off a mark of 75 and know runs off 70. If he reproduces his last run he will be hard to beat. (5/1)

Race seven off at 5:10

South Pacific was a consistent two year old with three seconds to his name. He was brought down on his seasonal debut at Leopardstown earlier this month. If he can recapture his two year old form he will go close. (7/4)
