Day two of the summer festival at Killarney gets underway with the Irish Stalion Farms EBF Race over one mile. Dunkirk Harbour comes into his race on the back of finishing down the field at Royal Ascot. Prior to that he ran a nice race when finishing fourth at Leopardstown in May in a competitive Group 3. He is officially rated six pounds better than Manjeer and they race off level weights. If Dunkirk Harbour brings his A game I think he will win at 11/10.
Race two is the Flesk Handicap over one mile.Njord has been running consistently well this season. He has ran three times and been in the first four on each occasion. He won on his penultimate start at Gowran well. He now runs off a seven pound higher mark which I think he will be able to be competitive off. If he puts his best forward I think he will go close at 11/2.
Race three is the International Hotel Handicap over one mile. Angels has been running well of late without getting her head infront. She has finished in the first three for her last three outings. She was only beaten a head at Naas last time out in late June. With Ben Coen claiming five pounds I think she will go close at 9/2.
Race four is the M.D.O’Shea’s Mares Maiden Hurdle over two miles and six furlongs. Honey Come Home made a nice debut at Wexford when finishing fourth over two and a half miles. Prior to that she won a Mares Maiden at Ballingarry in June. With the extra two furlongs I think she will run well at 7/2.
